                                                  TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION

In Bhutan, teachers' day is celebrated every year May 2. Teachers' Day was celebrated with great respect at Samcholing Middle Secondary School on May 2, 2025, to honor the dedication and hard work of teachers. It also marks the birth anniversary of the Third Druk Gyalpo, His Majesty Jigme Dorji Wangchuck. We celebrated teachers' day at dining hall with all the students, teachers and support staff.

 The celebration started with welcoming teachers by singing song and the two captain gave welcome speech. Then the teachers started offering of butter lamps and prayers in honor of His Majesty. Students prepared a variety of cultural performances to express their gratitude. The event started with traditional Bhutanese dance by captains. There was an interesting game between cultural dances. At around 11 AM we all braked for tea-break.  We were served with tea and biscuit. The event went on. All were enjoying. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks and lunch served to all staff and students.

The event was a beautiful and memorable. We really enjoyed the day. The celebration was a grand success.
